Our UK office held their first Hour of Code session today for the children of Grange Primary School, which was a resounding success.
The children spent the morning with some of our developers, learning about coding through making a video game which they could then play. The children also got to have a tour around the Thinkproject office and learn what each of our departments does in the workplace. We even had a few enquiries about job vacancies, so perhaps a few budding coders have been encouraged to keep up the hobby!
This session was one of many we will be holding in 2020 as part of our #tptomorrow initiative, our way to give back to the wider community with our CSR program. Check out our next dates below to see if you know a student who could benefit:
You can also follow us on LinkedIn where we will be announcing more sessions across our European offices over the new few months!
The ‘Hour of Code™’ is a nationwide initiative by Computer Science Education Week [csedweek.org] and Code.org [code.org] to introduce millions of students to one hour of computer science and computer programming.
Pizza was also served!
