Munich-based thinkproject, a leading cloud-based Common Data Environment provider for construction and engineering projects, acquired 100% of the German BIM specialist ceapoint aec technologies GmbH. ceapoint’s product line DESITE will be positioned as an integrated and open solution within the thinkproject portfolio, and its cloud functionality will be expanded and distributed internationally in future.
With its product line DESITE, the Essen-based ceapoint has offered solutions for BIM since 2010. ceapoint is specialised in BIM management and BIM coordination and has supported its customers in implementing and using BIM in planning offices, construction companies and with clients. Among its customers are construction companies such as STRABAG and Max Bögl, planning offices such as Schüßler Plan and clients such as German Rail and DEGES. Further, DESITE is the BIM technology for the BRZ Group, the European specialist for organisation and information technology for medium-sized companies in the construction sector.
thinkproject and DESITE are highly complementary BIM solutions and provide perfect cross-selling potential for international distribution. With DESITE, additional BIM functionality such as collision check, model check, 4D simulation and analysis for users will become available in the CDEs think project! and EPLASS.
