Project
CONCLUDE CDE has been supporting Siemens on two projects, the Siemens headquarters building in Munich, and the Erlangden campus project.
After six years of project work, the new Munich headquarters was complete and open to employees in the summer of 2016, after official announcement of its construction in 2010. The new HQ consists of approx. 45,000 m2 of floor space that hosts around 1,200 employees. A key component of the build was environmental impact and the building proudly meets the world's highest sustainability standards. It's publicly accessible ground-floor levels include a cafe, restaurant, courtyards and water feature, and serves as a new corridor from Munich's historic centre to it's museum district.
Siemens Campus Erlangen is a different kind of build, with the existing research park which was opened in 195 being rejuvenated and transformed into a new urban district, with modern infrastructure and plenty of green spaces. The development area is over 75 football pitches big, consisting of research and laboratory workplaces conference facilities and residential sites. Plans were drawn up in 2014, with the project expected to fully complete by 2030.
Challenges
Both of these projects involve large amounts of data, project teams and unique challenges. One such challenge is to maintain a clear overview of the many components over the build period, which particularly for Campus Erlangen, spans many years.
Solutions
